Formatting You can use the Colors... and
Layout... options on the
Format menu to change the colors and appearance of
the word search puzzle and solution.
Any changes that you make will be reflected in the on-screen preview,
as well as in the puzzles that you eventually print.
When you click Colors..., the following dialog box will
be displayed:
The settings in the Puzzle group effect
the colors used for the puzzle:
Background Color is the color used as the background
for each of the squares containing a letter.
Unused Squares is the color used for those squares
which are not used for letters (set using the Shape...
option on the Puzzle menu, which we discussed
previously).
Border Color is the color used for the border of
the puzzle.
Text Color is the color used for letters in the
puzzle.
The settings in the Solution group effect
the colors used for the solution:
Background Color is the color used as the background
for each of the squares containing a letter.
Unused Squares is the color used for those squares
which are not used for letters (set using the Shape...
option on the Puzzle menu, which we discussed
previously).
Border Color is the color used for the border of
the solution.
Answer Text Color is the color used for those letters
which are part of one of the hidden words.
Text Color is the color used for those letters which
are not one of the hidden words.
Answer Ring Color is the color used to ring the
hidden words.
Answer Highlight is the color used to highlight
the hidden words.
Please note: If you use colors, and print to a black and white
printer, your printer will be still be black and white! So, in
this case, the final results, may not appear exactly as
shown in the screen previews.
When you click Layout..., the following dialog box
will be displayed:
Header allows you to choose the header text used on printed pages.
The Print Puzzle checkbox, allows you to choose whether printing
will include the puzzle (checked) or not (unchecked).
The Print Word List checkbox, allows you to choose whether printing
will include the word list (checked) or not (unchecked).
The Print Solution checkbox, allows you to choose whether printing
will include the solution (checked) or not (unchecked).
